Viva La 1A03

This is an open letter to all 1A03 members.

Dear all,

I was prompt to write this after reading JJ, KC, Lizz and Dan’s entry on their blog. I have no intention to start a blog war or whatsoever, but I just want to voice my view.

What I don’t understand is that we have know each other for about 8 months, but why is every outing like the first day we see each other back in SRJC? I mean it just feel like the first day where we stand in front of the school, the first time together with the classmates which will soon be claimed as the people who you spent the best days of your life?

I understand that after a long enough time, we will lost connection with each other, but how come every one become so reserved when we are sitting around the table? Haven’t we been through that in Sentosa?

Bottom line is that since it is so not well received, then such outing shell be called off. We shell go our own way and hopefully faith will make us meet again in 15 years times when I come back and settle down on land. But before that, I would like to say think you to those who have help out in organizing all the outings especially Lizz, I think she deserve a certificate of a plug for this, then there’s Neo and many others.

But before that, can anyone please enlighten me since when have 1A03 become a group of people who come, meet, sit, smile, eat, waste money and waste time? Where did the 1A03 sprite gone? How come people are all sitting down waiting for things to happened and look at each other like strangers? What I really don’t understand is that instead sit, smile, waste money and waste time, why not do something? Play your little part as a member of the group and you will get your fun. This is just like going clubbing, you have to take effort in dressing up, travel down to town, queue up, pay for the entrance fee, get a drink. What happed after that determines your fun level, if you are going to sit down and just beat with the tempo of the music with your feet, your fun level will be no where higher than your feet, but if you are down on the floor, dancing and getting high, I bet that you want to do that again the coming week.

If everyone one in 1A03 where to do something, every outing will be fun. This brings me to another point, I think that Lizz and Neo have done enough; it is time for someone else to be the project manager. If every one were to take the responsible in organizing at least once, the participation will make them have some ‘fun’ and not just sit, smile, eat and waste time and money.

There are those who make things happen
There are those who watch things happen, and
There are those who don’t know what had happened.
Which one are you?
I think that Bianca and Marcus thinks that out outing is a complete waste of their youth as well, so you can be the one who prove them right, or you can be the who do something, paint the town red and let them find out on the next morning’s head lines. It is up to you. On the other hand, if you just want to remained negative and sit, smile, eat and waste your valuable youth, all I can say is the your absences will not be felt in anyway. So don’t come. (we can have real fun without you [anyway])

In about 9 months I will be going to sea, it will take about another 12-18 months after which I might see 1A03 again, ‘Youth is wasted on the young’ I just hope that my wasted youth will be of some significance when my life flashes by before I let out my last breath. On my part, I treasure all your friendships, but if you think otherwise. Then let faith play its magic. I rest my case.
